I am Sue Wicker, an artist who is sensitive and emotional and empathizes with the lives of women whose feelings are often portrayed in my work.
The idea behind Love on the Line arose from the precarious relationships of prominent women.
I used found ephemera from magazines, papers and vintage record covers, I used the cut and paste method and then juxtaposed the pieces to form the work.
I wanted to make this work to show how women are dependent on their circumstances that may be out of their control.
My work at the moment is concentrating on more abstract pieces that bring new life to old scenarios.
