Archeology of the Soul

at Yavapai College Prescott Art Gallery in Prescott, Arizona, USA
18 January-29 February 2020

Nancy Turner’s work mediates between past, present and future and is informed by the power of a fragment to suggest an entire story: the mysterious way objects retain remembrance and our collective somewhat fictional relationship to our shared cultural history.

Roots, Heartwood, and Grove are sculptural and experiential installations by Ginger Owen-Murakami and Vicki VanAmeyden. By exploring collective memories with vernacular photography, the work of these collaborative artists emphasizes cultural commonalities that bind people, and serve as an expression of humanism.
