Eron Boyd: “Constructing an Identity”
28 January-29 April 2017

Artist Reception: Saturday, 1 April, 2-5PM

“Constructing an Identity” is on display in the Collage Gallery, a permanent space for collage, assemblage and mixed media among five exhibit areas at Gallery Arcturus.

Eron Boyd says about his work:
In “Constructing an Identity”, I have explored my relationship to ‘Identity’ in its many facets. When I observe myself in the moment, I am less critical and more accepting of the different roles that I play. Observing is made possible in part through the process of making collages which appear as whimsical, humorous, awkward and, at the same time, beautiful. They are surprising and perhaps let me loosen my tightly held grip on ‘who I think I am’. To quote Deborah Harris, “Can we take our work seriously and not our self.”
