“Les Tours Légendaires” presents 24 new collages by Clive Knights depicting a series of mythical towers embedded in fictional landscapes. The tower holds a special place in the human imagination as both stronghold and belvedere. It offers the enclosure of sanctuary while simultaneously opening onto distant horizons through its vertical extent.

The exhibition’s location in the medieval French village of Noyers sur Serein was a special source of inspiration for Knights. The village is surrounded by a score of stone towers, remnants of its past as a center of power in Burgundy.
