Courtesy of the artist.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FROM KOLAJ 32<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Myriam Dion&#8217;s Artist Portfolio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The precise organization and the camouflage of the traces create a reversal of the traditional use of collage in the history of art,&#8221; writes Myriam Dion in <em>Kolaj<\/em> 32. &#8220;By multiplying the same images several times in a work, I develop a strategy to make the repetitive character already present in my work more complex, in addition to emphasizing the serial nature of the newspaper, which is mass-printed. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions and art fairs in Canada, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland, and the United Arab Emirates. She has held residencies as part of the International Contemporary Art Symposium in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, at the Banff Centre in Alberta, and, in 2021, at the NARS International Residency Program in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is in private collections in Canada and the US, as well as in the collections of the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019art contemporain de Montr\u00e9al, the Mus\u00e9e national des beaux-arts du Qu\u00e9bec, Global Affairs Canada, Loto-Qu\u00e9bec, TD Bank, Scotiabank, and Cirque du Soleil, among others. The artist lives and works in Montreal and is represented by Blouin-Division Gallery in Montreal.
