Courtesy of the artist.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FROM KOLAJ 33<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Christian Wischnewski&#8217;s Artist Portfolio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Postcards of a lighthouse on the island of Hiddensee in northern Germany made their way into Christian Wischnewski\u2019s creative archive. \u201cAt times I get the feeling that collaging is somewhat of a byproduct of my actual passion and that\u2019s collecting and curating materials,\u201d writes the artist. \u201cFor me this is the most vital and most time-consuming aspect of the process. Way too many times, I ended up browsing eBay for hours in search of thin-dime-obscurities that could be used for art. Pinks, oranges, and blues reverberate against the sepia-toned image. The artist grew up on an island in Northeastern Germany, attended university in M\u00fcnster, and now lives in Berlin, where he works as a freelance illustrator. Besides a strong emphasis on collage and assemblage art, his creative range extends from classic and digital drawings to graphic design, hand lettering, animation and game development. Wischnewski was featured in a March 2019 interview on The Weird Show.
