At a moment of rupture, when the foundations of many institutions are in question, the work of doing and processing in the studio becomes an act of hope and commitment. Janice McDonald’s recent compositions explore concepts of movement, balance, and community. An urge to forge powerful connections between disparate found elements and to reimagine mere paper fragments as monumental materials distinguishes this new body of collage works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
