Mutu\u2019s work \u201cscrutinizes globalization by combining found materials, magazine cutouts, sculpture, and painted imagery.\u201d She is perhaps best known for her collages depicting female figures that combine human, animal, plant and machine, which she places in fantastical landscapes. This exhibition presents over 50 works, including large-scale collage, video, sketchbook drawings, a site-specific wall drawing, and sculptural installations. \u201cA Fantastic Journey\u201d was organized by the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University and is presented in the Elizabeth A.
