The group show features a diverse roster of local, national, and international collage artists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrint media images are generally easy to decipher. Emotions seem familiar. Storylines predictable,\u201d says Recipher curator and collage artist, Michael Sjostedt. \u201cBut when visuals and text are yanked out of context, the common definition of the extracted information can shift \u2013 sometimes drastically. I\u2019m curious to see what the artists create with an intention and awareness about this particular aspect of the collage process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The participating artists created nine pieces for the show:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/artistdirectory\/michael-church\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Church<\/a> (Little Rock, Arkansas); <a href=\"http:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/artistdirectory\/zach-collins\" target=\"_blank\">Zach Collins<\/a> (Minneapolis, Minnesota); Heather Sky Fulton (Greenfield, Massachusetts); Devin Grosz (Brooklyn, New York); Bronwen Hodgkinson (Easthampton, Massachusetts); Evan Clayton Horback (Olympia, Washington); Wim Maes (Temse, Belgium); Travis Medford (Asheville, North Carolina); Lilliana Pereira (Hadley, Massachusetts); Michael Sjostedt (Easthampton, Massachusetts).<\/p>\n<p>This News and Notes item originally appeared in Issue Nine.
