The title refers to the “semantic traps” in de Sensi’s collages. The images function as traps because their compositional structure is ordered, which encourages the viewer’s search for meaning. However, any attempt at interpretation leads to multiple searches spread amongst the various symbols in the work and their relationships with each other.

“Tiny Traps” was curated by Nicoletta Vittorino and organized by CRUDO.

(text adapted from the artist’s press materials)

INFORMATION

Spazio &
via Guerrazzi 1
40125 Bologna, Italy
+39 051 407 2760

Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9AM-7PM

MAP | WEBSITE | FACEBOOK

Image:
We Will Fall
by Pasquale de Sensi
collage
2015

Pasquale de Sensi: “Tiny Traps” 28 January-26 February 2016 Small and medium-sized collages by Calabria-based artist Pasquale de Sensi, along with some of his graphic work, make up “Tiny Traps” at Spazio &, one of seven exhibitions being held as…

[11
https://kolajmagazine.com/content/content/collage-exhibitions/male-limbo-at-the-italian-cultural-institute-warsaw/
3 July-31 August 2015 Pasquale De Sensi: "Małe Limbo" (small limbo) Italian artist Pasquale De Sensi creatively sabotages large-scale paintings and careful paper collages.
