Many of these images have direct links to my life and experiences. I believe that we all share similar feelings and experiences, struggles, joys and sorrows,&#8221; writes Montreal artist Daniela Akerblom about her collage work.<\/p>\n<h2>Daniela Akerblom was featured in <a href=\"http:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/news\/collage-artist-trading-cards-pack-5\/\">Collage Artist Trading Cards, Pack 5<\/a>. We asked her some questions about her work.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Who are you? How do you describe yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AKERBLOM: I was born in\u00a0Montreal and if I didn&#8217;t become a visual artist, I would have liked to have become a rock singer or guitarist, if I had any musical skills, or an archaeologist, as I enjoy digging things up from the past. My mantra is from Edgar Degas, &#8220;Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.&#8221; I&#8217;m easygoing yet pragmatic, cynical yet passionate, young at heart yet \u201cmature\u201d.
