Except for installing the electricity and water, Kroll participated in almost every aspect of the building, painting, staining, etc., so she is intimately connected with her studio.<\/p>\n<p>Under her working tables, she has nine archival cardboard storage boxes with six drawers each for a total of 54 drawers full of sorted precut and uncut images, each box is 19 1\/2\u201d long, 13\u201d deep and 18&#8243; high, each drawer in 2 1\/2&#8243; high.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4753\" src=\"http:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4.jpg\" alt=\"hope-kroll-studio-4\" width=\"700\" height=\"468\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4.jpg 700w, https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4-600x401.jpg 600w, https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4-560x374.jpg 560w, https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4-260x174.jpg 260w, https:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/hope-kroll-studio-4-160x107.jpg 160w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>The shelves are filled with books from which Kroll has already gleaned materials and saved book covers for use as backgrounds for future collages.
