Meet the shadowy figures and magnificent beasts that dwell in the minds of John Vochatzer and Justin Angelos. Joy Gallery presents the work of two prolific Bay Area artists with their new collection of collage and mixed media. Culled from the pages of old books and periodicals, paper is transformed and given new life in an alternate reality teaming with colour and pattern. Like two explorers setting foot on uncharted land, Vochatzer and Angelos push the limitations of their craft through scale, subject and skilled execution.<\/p>\n

Opening reception: Saturday, June 18, 7PM-Midnight. At the opening there will be a print giveaway and a projection of animated collage GIFs.<\/p>\n
