Raven Skye McDonough<\/a> presents paper mosaic and mixed media collages at the Mitchell Gallery\u00a0in the Englewood Art Center in Florida. Florida-based McDonough is an award-winning artist with deep ties to her native New England upbringing. She started out as a painter using both oils and acrylic, but now creates using two different collage techniques she developed over the years.<\/p>\n

Classically trained at The School of the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts, McDonough currently draws her inspiration from nature, wildlife and her nightly dreams. Her deep spiritual connection and social awareness also has her tackling subject matter ranging from war, environmental issues, political concerns, and the human journey to become enlightened beings.<\/p>\n

McDonough has exhibited in group and solo shows in New York, Florida, New England and other East Coast cities. She was selected as Florida Artist of the year by Twin Cities TOSCA Art & Culture<\/em> for its American Artist series in 2013. She was also featured in “Award-Winning Collage” that appeared in Kolaj<\/em> #8<\/a>. Her collage, The Psychology of Peace<\/em>, is included in Collage Artist Trading Cards, Pack 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n
