His work has also been featured in the <em>Communication Arts Illustration Annual<\/em> and The Society of Illustrators annual competition.<\/p>\n<p>A portfolio of Waraksa&#8217;s collages appears in\u00a0<a title=\"Issue One: Let\u2019s Get This Collage Started\" href=\"http:\/\/kolajmagazine.com\/content\/issues\/issue-one-lets-get-this-collage-started\">Issue One<\/a>\u00a0where Ariane Fairlie writes,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Michael Waraksa\u2019s collages are best described as organized disorder. The elements are laid out in complement to a recurring grid backdrop, but although there is an unexpected harmony that ties them all together, they are spread across the page with an arbitrary but intentional chaos.
