Her artmaking began using family documents, altered photographs and drawings created by her sister in the Terezin Ghetto as a way of making a mark on her behalf, and honoring her parents&#8217; experience as Holocaust survivors. His work is based on childhood stories. She translates both the poetry of the familiar and power of place by intersecting new and old technologies. In her most recent series, &#8220;Woman Standing Alone&#8221;, Stoll collects abandoned photographs of women and imagines their story and legacy.
