STATEMENT

My artwork is inspired by strong and complex emotions, memories and psychological states. Usually it means the use of bold colors, shapes and a lot of contrast. I often use the incomplete portrait. The element of anonymity adds a bit of mystery, but also universality and relatability. I use various media and techniques, and collage enables me to bring many different pieces of to puzzle into one whole.

BIO

Ivana Režek is a painter, illustrator and collage artist from Croatia. Režek graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, department of Graphic Design. She loves to explore various art forms and techniques such as painting, drawing, collage, photography and mixed media. Režek has participated in over a hundred group exhibitions and art projects around the world.
