STATEMENT

Reuse is the biggest draw to me when it comes to the practice of college. Having the ability to turn a paper grocery bag or an old letter into something with an entirely different meaning is a therapeutic exercise. Most of my collage components come from old art history books or vintage health and beauty magazines–sometimes an element will sit with me for months or years before finding its proper place. I often find myself contrasting soft feminine elements with gritty texture and moody colors.
