STATEMENT

Everything put together sooner or later falls apart. I start with the fallen apart and…reconstructing when a cohesion or visual harmony presents itself–re-create.

My collages are made from my own black and white, silver gelatin photographs and negatives.

BIO

Patrick Lears was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland–home to crooks, criminals and the slightly strange.

Lears has lived and worked in London since 1999.

Exhibiting since 1987, Lears currently is in group shows at Pictorem Gallery in London and Linden Hall Studio in Deal, Kent.
