STATEMENT

These analogue collages are made through the use of a semi-automatic gesture combining mixed media: magazines, pastel, pencil, marker and paint. Cutting fashion magazines is a way for this artist to reappropriate this familiar and organized world, taking inspiration from the Surrealist movement. The themes are the quest, femininity and destiny. The frame (rigid line, dark mass) and fluidity (curve, gradient fade). Each collage is an elegant blend of forms and colours, lines and curves which make the paper fit like a beautiful dress design. Her influences come from Carl Jung, Dali, Riopelle and collagists all around the world: London, Milan and New York.
