This book is a collection of collages that the artist has been working on for several years. The faded pastels of the past form blocks of color overlaid atop the broken lines and torn edges of the vintage cuttings and ephemera. Each piece is a single frame of an unseen storyboard, hinting at a larger narrative and inviting the viewer to tap into their own sense of wonder and imagination.

About the author: Peter Dowker was born 26 July 1954 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After graduating with a BFA in painting from Concordia University, Montreal, he opened Peter + Peter Studios in Montreal with his partner, Peter Borowsky, supplying special props, models and mechanical effects to the film and TV industries for 30 years until they closed in 2007. Dowker then moved to the small town of Brome Lake, Quebec and renovated an old garage into his home and studio with the goal of getting back to making art on a full time basis. Dowker stumbled upon the mail art community and quickly became involved in the movement, turning out hundreds of postcard-size collages each year. Dowker now divides his time between southern Quebec and the central highlands of Mexico.
