About the author: Ace Farren Ford has been an artist for more than half a century. He has long been active in music – a founding member of the Los Angeles Free Music Society since 1975 – has performed with various ensembles in many countries and has appeared on more than 100 different recordings from all over the world. He began tattooing in 1994, apprenticing right here at Purple Panther Tattoos, under Shannon O’Sullivan, and honed his skills at a number of Los Angeles shops before returning to Purple Panther in 2000. In addition to music and tattoo, Ace is a prolific visual artist with an international clientele.
