Red Collage Perú

Lima, Perú

HISTORY

Red Collage Peru was founded December 14th, 2020 by Patricia Benavides, visual artist and graphic designer, and Caroline Cruz, visual artist, musician and communicator.

The idea of creating the network arose from the search for Peruvian artists who work with the collage technique and noticing the lack of a community to showcase the work of artists in or from Peru. The community has grown to 110 artists since then.

MISSION

The group’s mission is to be a community for Peruvian collage artists, to showcase collages made by artists in or from Peru, to bring attention to collage technique and make it accessible to everyone. This is a generous and contagious technique, within everyone’s reach. They think that by making their work known, many people will also want to learn it. In addition to the artwork, they also publish exhibitions, calls for artists, talks, workshops from Peru and abroad, publications in magazines and books related to collage.
