Dear Kolaj Fest New Orleans Participants,
New Orleans is experiencing a significant weather event. Our host hotel, the Aloft Downtown New Orleans, has experienced flooding. The Meet and Greet has been cancelled.
The Governor of Louisiana has declared a State of Emergency. In light of that, we cannot recommend people travel to New Orleans. If you are staying at or booked at the Aloft Hotel, you will not be penalized if you cancel your reservation or if you decide to leave early.
If you are already in town on Wednesday (today) and would like to connect with other folks from Kolaj Fest, we invite you to join us at Cafe Istanbul for an impromptu Collage Party until 7PM. We have collage making, music and at 4PM, we will have some presentations.
Also, if you are in the French Quarter today, Julie Blankenship will be present for her show at Papier Plume, 842 Royal Street, from 3-5PM today.
Unless you hear otherwise, the Thursday’s Daily Collage Congress will take place at Cafe Istanbul at 11AM.
We continue to assess the situation. –Ric Kadour and Christoopher Byrne, Kolaj Magazine
