It is a book about curious days, lost words, found images and the mysterious fog of it all. More than 200 collage work and drawings illustrate Another Day. Begun in 2024, the book was published in the spring of 2026. The texts were written in the winter of 2025. Yes, it’s a fiction based upon slightly true stories and attitudes. Another Day chronicles an unnamed character who awakes each day to the wonder – and apprehension – of another day and manages it with a certain difficulty, but quietly triumphs. Sort of. His days are marked by simplicity – drinking a glass of water, looking at the face of a girl, meeting a dog, watching people walk to work, eating a dry piece of bread, wondering why his ear is bleeding, falling into the mud, experiencing pain. There is an innocence and bravery in his naïveté and his odd persistence to live. The collages, gouache works and drawings serve to illustrate a strange world that mark his days. It is unknown if the protagonist is in fact the author of these art works. 11″x8.5″; collage and gouache on vintage paper; 2024. Courtesy of the artist. ABOUT THE BOOK Purchase the book from HERE. |
