Cut and Paste Collaboration Project 2019
Cut and Paste Collaboration Project 2019Edited by Edinburgh Collage Collective & National Galleries of ScotlandIn the summer of 2019, Edinburgh Collage Collective & National Galleries of Scotland ran an Open Call Project to complement the exhibition “Cut and Paste: 400 Years of Collage” at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. One image from the exhibition was selected and artists were invited to create their own collage based on this image. The Cut & Paste Project attracted more than 800 entries from all over the world. The high quality of the submissions made the judging process both exciting and difficult. Because of the standard of the work, the judging panel decided to create a print publication to showcase a selection of the submissions, made possible by support from the Doug + Laurie Kanyer Art Collection. The book includes the winning entry from artist Miss.Printed and a selection of those which were shortlisted. This publication provides an impression and creates an historical record of the activity and engagement of the ever-growing, global collage community.
