Angela Gaffney-Smith’s Artist Portfolio
Saugerties, New York, USA

Born and raised in Birmingham, England, Angela Gaffney-Smith makes her home in the Hudson Valley of New York. Life in the woods informs her subject. “I feel like I’m in constant communication with the environment: plants, trees, bees, flowers, animals. Details of sights, sounds, smells flood my senses and I take that energy and put it back into my work. My home is surrounded by flower, herb and vegetable gardens. I want my images to encourage others to experience the effect of nature; how we are physically and mentally connected to our environment.
