STATEMENT

Many artists create a narrative and then follow through with collage pieces to create a mixed media piece of art. I have an opposite “shotgun” approach and start by being inspired by the materials, without any preconception of theme or narrative. I collect found objects and many different pieces of paper. I use E6000 glue for heavier pieces and PVA glue for paper. Because of my random selection of collage pieces, my collages do not have one style or create a “body of work.”
