My collage practice tends to be very process-led, and prioritizes pre-loved and found materials out of a concern to keep my work’s environmental footprint as small as possible. I often work in miniature–using artist trading cards or smaller–and love to explore how pared back a narrative can be in size and still convey the message I want to send. I am drawn to vintage books and magazines as source material, but often scour public domain archives for historic materials that are out of copyright; I love placing different media from different time periods and geographies in dialogue with one another through collage.
