STATEMENT

The clear intention of the artist’s work is to stir feelings by passing along the paths and planes created by his geometric pieces of paper and cardboard. These works have a clear motivation to please the general public and, in particular, the entire collective of collagist artists.

BIO

Raül Llopis i Palmer is an artist born in 1980 in Alcoi (Alicante) Spain. His origins in the world of artistic creation are linked to photography and design. Later he explores video installations and sculptural installations, exhibiting two proposals on two occasions and participating in various group exhibitions. His current technique or artistic discipline is collage. The work carried out by the author is influenced by the constructivist and Neoplatonic tendencies of De Stijl, following his aesthetic parameters and developing them through the collage technique. A series of constructions is presented that show the concepts of the city’s history and its economy, synthesized in harmonious lines and restricted tonalities. You can see within these elegant compositions how the confluence between concept and object occurs through the configuration and conjunction of the lines connected with the treatment of the material and the chromaticisms.
