Ben Owers’ Artist Portfolio
Ben Owers’ collages are sculptural in nature. His pieces—made up of juxtaposed portraiture, still lifes and landscape elements—are created from vintage and modern publications in order to construct a hybrid image in the centre of the page like a statue on a plinth.

The effect is an interplay of perspectives that push and pull between foreground details and the more recognizable elements of the piece, which give shape to a harmonious and colourful whole on the paper.

Ben Owers lives and works in London. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art sculpture at the Cambridge School of Art. His work can be seen online at www.benowersart.com.
