Join the editorial staff of Kolaj Magazine for an informal meet up at Noon on Sunday, June 23rd at the cafe, Lincoln Station, in Brooklyn. This is an opportunity for us to meet other collage artists in the New York City area and an opportunity for artists to meet us and hear our plans for Kolaj Magazine, World Collage Day, and Kolaj Fest.

At 1PM, those interested can join us for a collage hunt at the Brooklyn Museum, where we are particularly interested in the exhibition, “Nobody Promised You Tomorrow: Art 50 Years After Stonewall”. The exhibition presents twenty-eight LGBTQ+ artists born after 1969 whose works grapple with the unique conditions of our political time, and question how moments become monuments. Through painting, sculpture, installation, performance, and video, these artists engage interconnected themes of revolt, commemoration, care, and desire.” Among the collage work on view is a piece by Tuesday Smillie, who is known for reinterpreting protest banners using craft.
