COLLAGE ON VIEW

Diana Bodelier at Kunstspoor 2024

at Zeeuwse Oase in Kats, The Netherlands
17-18 and 24-25 August 2024

Collage is the language of Diana Bodelier. In the series “Mischlinge”, loosely translated as Mixed People, Bodlelier combines different images of people into new hybrid humans. In the tradition of Dadaism, she uses images from mass media to create her “Mischlinge”. Scissors, blades and glue are her tools. The poet Tristan Tzara stated: “The beginning of Dada was not the beginning of art, but of disgust.” Every collage the artist makes is preceded by internal and external research into bias.
