“Uncovered: The Art of the Album Cover”
For decades, visual artists have been creating art for record covers. By the virtue of these artists, the album cover evolved from a plain package to an object of desire in its own right. The cover design has become an important and integral part of the music experience. The exhibition uncovers original artworks by artists Boris Tellegen, Maya Hayuk, Jeroen Erosie, Graphic Surgery, Ekta, Merijn Hos and Rop van Mierlo that have been used for the cover designs of various dance records from, for example, Martyn and Mo Kolours.
Catalogue available.
This exhibition is part of the Amsterdam Dance Event Playground Program.
