Monster Trust

Monster Trust: Collaborative Collage in the Early Twenty-teens

by Zach Collins, Mister Koppa et al.

Monster Trust is a story about collaborative collage told by collages collaboratively created by nine North American artists. The book includes an essay about the collaborative experience. Half of the collages are posted on HERE, and the other half HERE. Publisher Mister Koppa said, “Monster Trust is the end result of a project that began with a simple request to participate in a collage collaboration with Zach Collins (St. Paul, Minnesota). At the time, it seemed all the rage; every day I saw a new collaborative effort between Mr Collins and some other collagist in my Facebook feed. I was anxious to join the party.”

Ric Kasini Kadour reviewed the book in Kolaj #12.

Kadour wrote in his review:

“For Koppa, this was a transformational act of faith in others to follow through: monster trust…Without being pedantic, Monster Trust reads like a testimony to the collaborative ethic that permeates collage culture today. Koppa shares his fears and experience and the results of his foray into these types of creative relationships.”
