HISTORY

Collage Crew has humble beginnings in the South London living rooms of a group of friends who enjoy cutting and sticking. Freelance designer Bethan Thomas decided to grow the collective in January 2019 by moving their meetings to The Doodle Bar in Bermondsey, London and hosting workshops with a different theme each month.

MISSION

Their goal is to cultivate a relaxed and friendly environment where you can experiment and learn collage techniques, whilst sipping a wine or two.

JOIN

To become involved, you can participate in one of their workshops, with tickets available on Eventbrite. The workshops are open to all, no creative experience necessary, and all the materials you’ll need are provided.

You can also follow @collagecrew on Instagram to keep up to date with their projects and output.

KEY ACTIVITIES

The workshops put on by Collage Crew are intended to be a fun way to escape the doldrums of everyday life and learn something new along the way. Each month’s workshop has a different theme. Previous themes include “Holidays,” “Camouflage,” “Speed Collage Zines,” and “Sexy Collage.”

Collage Crew has also been releasing a series of videos they’re calling “Lockdown Sessions.” These one minute videos are quick tutorials based on themes like “Textures,” “Grids,” and “Silhouettes.”
