Rocky Mountain Collage Society

Grand Junction, Colorado, USA

Rocky Mountain Collage Society was founded by two dedicated collage enthusiasts, Susan Stanton and Gayle Gerson, and has maintained a community since 2007.

Their goals are to encourage appreciation, understanding and usage of collage as a fine art form by promoting educational and exhibit experiences for their members.

Rocky Mountain Collage Society is affiliated with the National Collage Society. In 2009 and 2017, the society was instrumental in bringing the National Collage Society’s Annual Postcard Show to Grand Junction at The Art Center. They currently have 38 members. Many are professional artists and include everyone from beginning collage students, fiber artists, assemblage producers, and professional artists and teachers.

To get involved, you can become a member of the Rocky Mountain Collage Society by paying the $30 dues once a year. Membership entitles you to enter their members only shows, receive the monthly newsletter, and have your art featured on their member’s gallery page on their website.

The society has general meetings in September, January and May which include a short business meeting followed by art sharing or guest demonstrations. In addition to their Biennial Members Show and Biennial Collage Expo, other activities include collaborative work meetings, group exhibits, and sponsored workshops.
