Katinka Hanselman’s Artist Portfolio

Old bank notes mingle with vintage illustrations. Browned newspapers serve as backdrop to assorted 20th century office ephemera. Occasionally, a photograph makes an appearance. Katinka Hanselman says her favourite subjects are travelling, culture, nature and past; something which is evident in her collage. For the series, “Fifty-Two,” Hanselman made one collage every week in the year 2016. Selections from this series appear in Kolaj #21.

Kolaj Magazine features portfolios of contemporary artists in each issue alongside critical commentary as a means of developing a deeper understanding of collage as both a medium and a genre.
