ARTIST PORTFOLIO
Gayle Gerson
Grand Junction, Colorado, USA
If Gayle Gerson were an actor in the pantheon of Jungian archetypes, she would decidedly be the Artist-Scientist. Versed in a compendium of materials, she likens her studio to a laboratory. Her collages are tests of materials and concepts, the splendid destination of a journey of small failures.
A portfolio of Gerson’s work appears in Kolaj #16. To see this portfolio and the others from this issue, SUBSCRIBE to Kolaj Magazine or Get a Copy of the Issue.
Gerson is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society and the Western Colorado Watercolor Society and the National Collage Society. She is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Collage Society and exhibits regularly with them. She teaches experimental mixed media classes at the Art Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
