Collage artists do all sorts of things to old books and magazines. They horde them, cut them, dissect them, turn them into strips of paper and reassemble them. Jed Foronda excavates them. Foronda’s most powerful work is when the magazine is left intact and perceivable: a three-dimensional object that has been eaten away by his handiwork, the remnant of which is a beautiful pop culture corpse.
