The Art of Collage at New City Galerie in Burlington, Vermont

On the second floor above the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington, Vermont, New City Galerie consistently presents compelling exhibitions of contemporary art in a town with a lively art scene yet few commercial art galleries. Their August to October 2015 exhibition highlights the work of six collage artists from Vermont, Quebec, and New Brunswick. This sort of visual play is familiar in the world of collage and a good example of what the curators mean when they say “new worlds come into being; identities are reestablished.”
