Shawn Marshall is a Kentucky-based mixed media artist. “Reframe” showcases Marshall’s latest works, many of which were created during her artist residency at the gallery in July, 2024.
In “Reframe,” Marshall uses collage to explore juxtaposition, contrast, and critical reflection. Using found and discarded paper and magazines, she crafts dynamic compositions that invite the viewer to question and reconsider familiar narratives and explore broader themes such as consumerism, identity, and the traces we leave behind.

Shawn Marshall is a painter and mixed-media artist with a background in architecture and design. She earned a Master of Architecture with a Minor in Fine Art from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky. Her work can be found in corporate collections including Brown-Forman Corporation, PNC Bank, Commonwealth Bank, and the University of Kentucky, and numerous private collections in the U.S. and Europe. This is her first solo exhibition at the gallery.
