COLLAGE ON VIEW
Second Glances
at the Hillsboro Civic Center in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA
5 November-20 December 2024
Artists Heather Smith, Amy Bennett and Cherie Savoie Tintary, present artworks that create narratives and compositions from collage and cut paper.
Amy Bennett creates narrative-driven paper artworks utilizing ink and cut paper. Captured by the transformative power of language, she uses letterforms as visual tools to explore shape, texture, and meaning. Cherie Savoie Tintary started creating collages in 2020 as a way to heal from her battle with lung cancer. Balancing bright colors and vintage imagery, her collages bring a chuckle from the viewer who gives it a closer look at the imaginative and often comedic worlds presented. Heather Smith is a paper quill and mixed media artist inspired by the intricate and beautiful details of nature.
